The Department of Pediatric Allergy and Respiratory Medicine at Kyungpook National University Children’s Hospital consists of a dedicated team with one faculty member and one specialized nurse. The team provides care and, when necessary, closely collaborates with related departments, such as dermatology and otolaryngology, to offer comprehensive and integrated care.

Main Diagnoses and Tests

Within the children’s hospital, there is a specialized pediatric allergy and respiratory test laboratory where various diagnostic tests are conducted to precisely evaluate the patient’s condition:

• Methacholine Challenge Test: A precise asthma diagnosis test.

• Bronchodilator Response Test: To assess airway responsiveness.

• Pulmonary Function Tests: Objectively checks the condition of respiratory diseases.

• Allergy Skin Test: Identifies allergens causing the allergic reactions.
