Introduction

Ward 25 was opened in October 2014 after being separately relocated from Ward 709 of Kyungpook National University Hospital in Samdeok-dong. It provides inpatient treatment for children and adolescents with blood tumor diseases and non-infectious diseases, with the main diseases being blood tumors, endocrine, neonatal, neurological, gastrointestinal, kidney, heart, and rehabilitation,

The purpose is to provide quick and accurate diagnosis in collaboration with other departments for quick recovery of children who are experiencing difficult hospital treatment, and to provide specialized treatment for children who need patient care and nursing care so that they can return to the community in good health.

Ward 25 is operated with a total of 29 beds, including 2 single rooms and 5 multi-bed rooms, and is mainly used for children with hematologic malignancies to undergo tests and anti-cancer drug treatment. The best medical and nursing services are provided to ensure that patients recover as quickly as possible, and they are constantly monitored and counseled by multidisciplinary professionals such as doctors, nurses, nutritionists, pharmacists, physiotherapists, and social workers.

For students who are unable to receive education due to long-term hospitalization or outpatient treatment, we provide opportunities for education and learning, and we accept donations of talents during vacations, and there is a place for various activities and rehabilitation for growing children on the second floor, which is adjacent to the playground, hospital school, and library.

We provide open counseling and education for parents and guardians of children diagnosed with leukemia and solid tumors, and help them receive financial support for treatment through leukemia foundations and sponsorship groups.

Our Department of Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine will continue to strive to raise children to become the members of society needed for a hopeful future and to participate in the sustainable development of our society by spreading the values of sharing and coexistence. We will continue to do our best to ensure the well-being and physical and mental health of children.

Children's health, which is our dream, is the beginning of centenarian health.
The next 100 years begin with Kyungpook National University Children's Hospital.
